HMS Group Class Policy

Please review the policies below before enrolling. Completing payment means that you accept the HMS Group Class Policy.

Packages, attendance and missed classes
  • Group classes meet once per week for one hour, and each package begins with the student’s first scheduled class.
  • Packages are intended for consecutive weekly attendance. Five-class packages must be completed within 6 weeks; ten-class packages within 12 weeks.
  • Enrollment and package payments reserve a class spot and are not based on attendance.
  • Classes are non-refundable. Missed classes do not receive make-ups, credits or transfers and cannot be carried into a future session.
  • Unused classes remaining after the package validity period are forfeited and non-refundable.
  • Students arriving late may join the class in progress, but the class will end at the scheduled time.
Scheduling, enrollment and instructors
  • Harlem Music Studios may modify, combine, postpone or cancel classes based on enrollment.
  • If a class does not meet minimum enrollment, the student will be notified and payment will be applied to the next available session.
  • If HMS cancels a class, payment will be applied to the next available session.
  • Class times, instructors and locations may change when necessary.
  • Classes may be taught by different qualified instructors who follow the HMS curriculum. When a substitute is provided, the class continues as scheduled.
Refunds, transfers and conduct
  • Group-class packages are non-refundable and non-transferable and cannot be shared with another student.
  • Family packages apply only to students listed at registration and may not be transferred without studio approval.
  • In the event of an extended studio closure, payment may be applied to a future session at the studio’s discretion.
  • Students must participate respectfully and follow the instructor’s directions. Disruptive behavior, harassment or interference with the class may result in removal without refund.
Parents and guardians
  • Parents or guardians are responsible for reviewing and understanding studio policies for students under 18.
  • Students should arrive on time and be picked up promptly at the end of class.
  • Parents may be asked to wait outside the classroom if space is limited.
